A start-up’s collaboration in networks for sustainable freight transport: a micro-meso-macro approach to innovation

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to analyse how start-ups with a clear sustainability focus collaborate multiple actors at different levels pursue business ideas and develop sustainable freight transport solutions. Design/methodology/approach This builds on theoretical approach that includes three analysis: the actor level (micro), business-network (meso) society government (macro). An embedded case study used focal start-up aiming innovate networked platforms electric autonomous vehicles (EAVs). Findings Activities resources are developed firm network societal (macro), all need be considered for start-up, focus. Interaction within as well between affects innovation development, integration implementation. many-folded collaborations meso serve locus EAVs. start-up’s networking activities macro contribute it gaining legitimacy in system.
